Killdeer nested at Kay Builders Parking Lot
A mother Killdeer nested in the center of the gravel parking lot at the sales office at our Trexlerfield location. She was of interest to all that could catch a glimpse of her and her eggs. Several people from the Kay Builders staff provided water, and seed near her nest, as well as roped off an area to ensure that her nest wasn't disturbed by cars accidentally and just another display of the care and concern that Kay Builders has for all things relating to nature within any job site. This is typical behavior of this bird to nest on obscure areas, gravel imparticular, the mother bird disappeared almost immediatly into the tall brush once her hatchlings were born.
